Journal of Supercomputing
Editor-in-Chief: Hamid Arabnia, The University of Georgia (USA)
The Journal of Supercomputing is an archival journal publishing theoretical, practical, tutorial and survey papers on all aspects of supercomputing. The papers published fall into such topic areas as technology, architecture and systems, algorithms, languages and programs, performance measures and methods, and applications. Tutorial and survey papers are intended for workers and students in the fields associated with and employing advanced computer systems. The journal also publishes letters to the editor, especially in areas relating to policy, succinct statements of paradoxes, intuitively puzzling results, partial results and real needs.
Concurrency and Computation
Editors: Geoffrey C. Fox, University of indiana (USA) and Roberto Zicari, Johann Wolfgang Goethe- Universität (Germany)
Concurrency is seen in an increasing number of computing and communication systems. We have tens of millions of clients on the World Wide Web and many thousands of powerful nodes in high-end massively parallel machines (MPP). The combination of concurrent digital and optical technology is expected to create a Global Information Infrastructure (GII) that will enable new applications, and open up a new set of communication and computer software and architecture challenges. We need portable and scalable (portable to the future and to hybrid heterogeneous world-wide systems) solutions. This technology is being driven by and used in a wide range of academic, research, and commercial application areas. This use is producing a substantial amount of practical experience in those problems that are enabled or enhanced by this amazing infrastructure. There are also new computational methods, such as mobile agents, cellular automata and massively parallel neural networks, which are particularly suited to concurrent execution. This journal will focus on practical experience with the application of these converging trends to solve real problems.
Mobile Information Systems
Editor: David Taniar, Monash University (Australia)
The International Journal of Mobile Information Systems (IJMIS) presents visionary concepts and stimulating ideas in mobile information systems at both the theory and application levels. The objectives of the journal are to be a source for mobile information systems research and development, and to serve as an outlet for facilitating communication and networking among mobile information systems researchers, practitioners, and professionals across academics, government, industry and students. The journal is published multiple times a year, with the purpose of providing a forum for state-of-the-art development and research, as well as current innovative activities in mobile information systems. The main goal will be to provide timely dissemination of information.
Transactions on Computational Science
Editors: Marina Gavrilova, University of Calgary (Canada) and Kenneth CJ Tan, Qontix (UK)
Computational Science, an emerging and increasingly vital field, is now
widely recognized as an integral part of scientific and technical
investigations, affecting researchers and practitioners in areas
ranging from aerospace and automotive to biochemistry, electronics,
geoscience, mathematics, and physics. Computer systems research and the
exploitation of systems research results naturally complement each
other.
The
sheer size of many challenges in computational science demands the use
of supercomputing, parallel processing, sophisticated algorithms and
advanced system software and architecture. It is therefore invaluable
to have input by systems research experts in applied computational
science research.![]()
Journal of Algorithms
Editors: D. Gabbay, King's College London (UK) and J. Siekmann, Universität des Saarlandes (Germany)
Algorithms are ubiquitous. They power any software system. However, the concept of an algorithm and algorithmic thinking go far beyond software systems and are relevant to all sciences and fields of human endeavour. The Journal of Algorithms will be a forum for algorithmic research in this broad sense. The subtitle Cognition, Informatics, and Logic emphasizes the intended breadth and interdisciplinary nature of the journal. JoA papers ideally combine novelty of approach and high technical quality.
Journal of Universal Computer Science
Editors: Hermann Maurer, Graz University of Technology (Austria), Narayanan Kulathuramaiyer, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Malaysia), and Klaus Tochtermann, KNOW Center, Graz (Austria) and supported by editorial assistant Dana Kaiser
The Journal of Universal Computer Science is a high-quality electronic publication that deals with all aspects of computer science. J.UCS has been appearing monthly since 1995 and is thus one of the oldest electronic journals with uninterrupted publication since its foundation.
International Journal of Virtual Reality
Editor: Zhigeng Pan, Zhejiang University (China)
The IJVR (published quarterly) is a multimedia publication dedicated to the cooperative development and application of diverse technologies associated with virtual reality. It is designed to disseminate relevant new information to professionals in all aspects of the field using the latest in publishing technology. All submissions related to virtual reality are welcome.
